So Jeremy & Daddy go drawn to hunt Mule Deer in New Mexico. We thought long and hard (about 5 seconds) and decided that we would make it a family trip. I worried a lot about camping in the mountains for a week with a 2 year old. He did wonderfully. He spent his days 4-wheeling with Mommy, rolling in the dirt with his cars, eating, and riding around looking for various animals. After dinner (which was around 6:30), we headed into the tent to watch a movie on my laptop because it was already too cold to be outside. Yes, it was very cold and we did sleep in a tent with a wood burning stove. The morning temperatures ranged from 3 to 12 degrees F. It would warm up quickly once the sun came up, and cool down quickly once the sun went down. We went from Sat - Thur without a shower. We only had a few sponge bathes. Jeremy did finally get his deer after 20 years of hunting the area. I have to say the we had a great time. I would definitely do it again, but not anytime too soon.
