Washington, DC Day 4

Today was the last day in DC. I have enjoyed it, but I am ready to be home. We had to be up, dressed, feed, packed, and on the bus by 8:00 am. We headed for the National Archives which doesn't open until 10:00 am, but this way we were first in line. While we waited, Duane and I went around the corner to the US Naval Memorial. After the Archives, we finished off our trip at the National Museums of Natural Science and American History. At 1:30 pm, we were on our way to the Dulce International Airport. We didn't make it back to Bryan until midnight. It was a great trip!

Washington, DC Day 3

We were up and out of the hotel by 7:30 on this morning. Our first stop was the White House, then on to Ford's Theatre and the Peterson House. While we were waiting for the bus, I found a hamburger eating contest outside Hard Rock. Each 3 man team had to eat all 30 burgers. Never got to see the winner. Next, we went to the Holocaust Museum. Words cannot describe this experience. We spend lunch and the rest of the afternoon at the National Museum of Air & Space and the National Museum of the American Indian. After dinner, we ended our day with the FDR Memorial and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Tomorrow is the last day!

Washington, DC Day 2

Wake up call at 6:00 am. Get dressed, eat breakfast, load the buses, and head to Arlington National Cemetery. After that was a bus tour of Embassy Row, Naval Observatory, Marine War Memorial, and various other monuments. Lunch was in the Old Post Office. After lunch, we headed for Mount Vernon to visit the home of George Washington. After that was dinner at Fuddrucker's and then a tour of Old Alexandria complete with cool ghost stories. Then back to the hotel at 9:30 to do it all again tomorrow.

Washington, DC Day 1

Friday morning I got up at 3:00 am to drive with Duane, Denise, Courtney, Dylan, and some of Denise's family to Washington, DC. We arrived in DC at around 2 pm. From there is was a world wind of touring. That day we saw the Capitol, Library of Congress, Union Station (where we ate dinner), WWII Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and the Vietnam War Memorial. We also saw several other buildings from afar such as the Washington Monument. I heard a lot of "WOW!" that day. We made it to the hotel at 9:30 that night. Bed was at 11:00 because we had to be on the bus by 7:45 am.

Spring Break 2009

We went to San Antonio for Spring Break. We meet up with Memaw, Pepaw, Jerod, Uncle Justin, and Aunt Jess. Thursday night we went to eat on the Riverwalk at County Line. Considering it was so late, I think the kids did great. On Friday, we went to SeaWorld. It was packed. We didn't take as many pictures as normal. We kept forgetting. There was so much to see.

Uncle Justin, Aunt Jess, & Jerod

Waiting to get a table at County Line.

It is hard to see the clock, but it is 10:35 PM after we finally got back from the Riverwalk.

Jerod is mad because he wants to ride in Daddy's truck to SeaWorld. We didn't take Daddy's truck.

They like riding together so most of the time I pushed an empty stroller.

Don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys...

We went to Cavender's to buy Jeremy a new belt because he left his other one at his parent's. We left with a little more. Noah found this hat and wore it all through the store. Of course, he had to have it. Thankfully, it was cheap. Doesn't he look so cute?

Mohawk

Daddy was having fun with Noah's hair in the bath. Wouldn't he look cute with a mohawk?
